The location is fantastic, positioned only a 15-minute walk from the Sky Tower and just 10 minutes downhill to the theatres. It's a pleasant 25-minute stroll to Viaduct Harbour. Directly across the road, you’ll find a 7/11 supermarket, a liquor store, and a takeaway, making it incredibly convenient. New Market is just 15 minutes up the road, adding even more options. With a variety of nearby restaurants, you’ll never be short on dining choices. The bed is exceptionally comfortable, and the room is spacious and remarkably quiet, even though it faces the road from a higher floor. The room is well-equipped with a microwave, hairdryer, TV, small safe, refrigerator, and eating utensils. Additionally, laundry facilities, including a washer and dryer, are conveniently located downstairs. While you may encounter some hills in the area, I'm fit, so this wasn’t an issue for me. For those who prefer a smoother journey, there are buses nearby to assist with navigating the terrain.

I have stayed in hotels run by VR throughout North Island and they are known to provide a comfortably and luxury stay in a good budget. The location being in CBD gets quite busy and major tourist attractions are nearby. The 24 hour front desk was quite convenient because I was driving in from Tauranga quite late at night. Check-in was easy and I opted to have an on-spot parking spot for my rental car, which costed $45 but worth it considering the safety and lack of parking nearby. The room matched the pictures and description with ample space and cleanliness. A small, well equipped kitchenette and living room with tv followed by the bedroom and shower next door. It had a central heating/air con for each room. The shower had fresh towels with basic amenities. The bedroom had good amount of lighting, storage and ports to charge my devices. Overall a good place.

The location is great- close to restaurants, convenience stores, and bus routes. The staff were really friendly and check in and out was easy. Got deposit immediately back to my card at checkout. The room was comfortable and clean and had good light from the big windows which are tinted from the outside for added privacy (there's also curtains). Ordered room service once from the restaurant which was delicious and good service. Strong Wifi and smart TV, great large desk in bedroom, spacious bathroom with great lit mirror which makes up for no windows in there.

Amazing reception staff! Friend was arriving later than me, allowed her to pick up a key card when she arrived. Clean and tidy, room came with toiletries. Had a smart TV, which made watching things easy. Full kitchen, which can save a good amount of $$ when travelling, this is why we booked. Bed was super comfortable, king bed made up of 2 beds pushed together, which doesn't bother me one bit. Right by bus stops! New Market is only 15 minutes up the road.

Comfortable and quiet. The staff were pleasant. There is a bus stop nearby that takes you down to the city centre and returning is just as easy. There were shops and eateries nearby, as well as breakfast available, but we didn't use any of them, taking the bus to supermarkets instead. When next in Auckland this will probably be our first choice of a place to stay.
